400/4 restoration

Well I've this old girl sitting in the shed for quite some time now.

So I've found a guy that has 2 or 3 400's that is interested in rebuilding (or re-assembling really) the engine.
So I packed it in the van last weekend and delivered it.
With luck I'll get back an engine ready to go again :-D

Well bad news from the guy I took the engine to :doh:
Seems the the engine may require a complete rebuild rather than just a quick top end touch up. :cry:

The original seller suggested it had had new rings and the bottom end was good
Another money pit com'n up :-?
