CB450K0 Black Bomber parts

Hi all,

Things I need:

- ignition switch, the one with the 6 wire plug.

- horn (the black bomber specific one).

- front guard (or a front fender, I am not fussy).

Thanks.

Hi Phil - a VF750 Sabre is a cool bike, I look forward to seeing it around Melbourne.

Shame about the 450 site :-? Hoping if we can get a bit of momentum here with a few builds, things may be better
I like this site better than the old 450 site anyway.

Hello from Victoria (which is above Tasmania).

Hello - this is maduncle.

I need all your rare and expensive CB450 parts posted to me for free.

Or if you won't do that, then I just need you to pay attention to my build posts and guide me when I am going wrong.

Which means you will be busy.

I like CB450's.

Have pity ...

Re: One persons hopelessly naive attempt at restoring a Black Bomber

Bit of tinker time after tea tonight. I realised this morning (in the shower) that I had installed the rotor but I had not fitted the new sprag clutch kit I had put aside for it. I managed to hold off running straight from the shower to do it and it only took ten minutes to do tonight. Interestingly...

Re: One persons hopelessly naive attempt at restoring a Black Bomber

Call this one a status report. The frame is powder coated and now on the build stand with the swing arm and centre stand fitted. I had to track down a centre stand pivot tube and of course a K0 tube is different from every other Cb450 tube. The engine was stripped, all parts cleaned, all cases hydro...

Re: One persons hopelessly naive attempt at restoring a Black Bomber

For those into numbers and stuff - here is the engine number and frame number for the K0. IMG_8925.jpg IMG_8924.jpg This puts the build at around 1966. You may be wondering why the frame number is in a rectangle of flat black on an otherwise gloss black frame. That is because my powder coater masks ...

One persons hopelessly naive attempt at restoring a Black Bomber

Yeah ... Well ... I got told I had to post my build here if I ever wanted any parts from Tasmania. So ... After building a CB450K0 into a cafe racer, then building a CB450 race bike, then building a custom bobber framed CB450 thing I have now bitten off more than I can fit in my mouth (let alone che...
