Re: 400/4 restoration

The Z1 is one that I wouldn't say no to. I'm finishing up a KZ900, and it is a blast to ride. As long as it will fit into the shed queue, then you have room.

Re: 400/4 restoration

If you're suspicious of neatness, then you would trust my shop implicitly.

Re: 68 CB450 K1

In case anyone is wondering, Forking by Frank is unable to make new fork tubes for the K1. Apparently it is a plugged tube, and they don't make those.
And yes, the pictures work now!

Re: 68 CB450 K1

Is it just my computer, or have the pictures stopped showing up as thumbnails within the posts?

Re: 68 CB450 K1

IMG_1435.JPG IMG_1434.JPG IMG_1433.JPG I have had little chance to work on the bike this last month. A trip with my wife to Barbados took one of my weeks and a bit of my cash, but it was great. I've managed to get all of the bikes indoors. The front end came off, and things were a bit worse than ex...

Re: 68 CB450 K1

That is a random computer at work. I have no idea what Windows version it has, but our hospital has a poor reputation for keeping current on software.

Re: 68 CB450 K1

I'm uploading from an iphone to a macbook. I did a test of a pic taken in landscape mode instead of portrait mode, and I think it may work.

Re: 68 CB450 K1

Now I just need to get the garage reorganized so I can get it inside and get the motor out. With 66,000 miles on it, I expect a rebuild. There was a lot of black oil residue inside the left header pipe when I removed it.

Re: 68 CB450 K1

I found a proper headlight shell, repaired some cracks in it, and got it and the NOS fork ears painted today. The old fork ears were pretty jacked up by some unorthodox modifications. I still can't figure out why all of my pictures load sideways.

They're all money pits, but still fun.
